Janos Blasszauer is a teacher of English at Batthyany Lajos Grammar School, Nagykanizsa, Hungary. He has attended and delivered presentations, workshops and courses at national, regional, and international events on ICT in ELT. He is a member of the international advisory board of several European Schoolnet projects including myEUROPE (http://myeurope.eun.org), Spring Day for Europe ( http://www.springday2009.net/) and Energy is our Future ( http://www.futurenergia.org/). He is also an associate member of the E-HELP project and a founding member of the IATEFL-H ICT SIG. He has recently been a team member of the "Using computers in teaching English" project (http://ictenglish.com/) The project was commissioned by the Hungarian Ministry of Education and Culture to provide hands-on guidance for teachers of English interested in using computers in their lessons. He has been involved in AEC-NET projects since 2005 (see the latest projects his students were involved in at http://www.eltandict.com/course/). His main domains of interest are: ICT in ELT, networking (online communities), classroom-oriented research, computer-mediated collaborative projects and teacher training.
Welcome to the VITAE project. It sounds as though you have a great deal of experience. I took part in Spring Day for Europe some years ago.
We are keen to talk about the best way to disseminate good practice in institutions. We are piloting a mentor training course as the way to equip teachers with some ICT experience with some skills to pass on their knowledge to their colleagues.
